Graduate Trainee - Junior Business Analyst

As a Junior Business Analyst in our Graduate Trainee Program, you will support the analysis and improvement of business processes, collaborate with key stakeholders, and assist in translating business requirements into technical solutions. This role offers the opportunity to develop essential skills in data analysis, project management, and business strategy while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help drive data-driven decision-making and optimize operational efficiency across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of process documentation and workflow diagrams. 
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for process improvement. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and recommend solutions.
  • Create and present regular reports on project progress, data findings, and recommendations. 
  • Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling meetings, tracking milestones, and updating project plans.  
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs.  
  • Participate in data collection and preparation for business intelligence initiatives.  
  • Assist in the design and implementation of business process improvements and automation.  
  • Continuously learn about industry trends, tools, and best practices in business analysis. 

Must Have

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).  
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and business practices. 

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with business process modelling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio). 
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project). 
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or databases. 
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies. 
  • Understanding of business strategy and performance metrics.  
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts.
