To support this growth, we are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure & Platforms Engineer (IPE) to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Operate and support networks, endpoints, firewalls, VPN, and EDR/XDR tools
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and reliability systems
- Strengthen platform security including patching, upgrades, and availability
- Work with the Governance, Risk & Technology Alignment Lead to embed ISO 27001 and Kenya DPA-ready security, backup/DR, and asset controls
- Provide L2/L3 technical escalation support
- Support PreSales activities: discovery sessions, demos, solution shaping, technical inputs for proposals
- Collaborate with ERP, Platform, and GRC teams to deliver integrated solutions
Must Have
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–5+ years’ experience in infrastructure or platform operations
- Practical experience with cloud environments, networking, and security tools
- Certifications such as CCNA, Azure Administrator, or Security+ are an added advantage
- Solid knowledge of endpoint management, backup/DR and security ops.
- Experience working in an MSP or ICT consulting environment is a plus
- Experience operating production environments and resolving multi-layer incidents.

Demonstrated capability in configuring firewalls, network access controls, and VPN solutions to maintain secure and predictable connectivity across environments.
Nice to have
- Experience managing hybrid cloud environments
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOC tools and security baselines
- Knowledge of scripting or automation for platform operations
- Understanding of IT governance, compliance, and service delivery frameworks
- Exposure to backup and disaster recovery planning, including the ability to design or maintain resilient data protection routines.
- Curiosity for emerging technologies in cloud, security, and automation, with a growth mindset and willingness to learn continuously.
- Knowledge of identity and access management practices
