Inside Sales Representative

Nairobi, Kenya

We are seeking a highly motivated and results oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our company. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for proactively reaching out to potential clients, promoting our products and services, and nurturing leads to generate sales opportunities. 

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a persuasive personality, and a strong interest in the IT industry.

  • Conduct outbound calls and engage in proactive outreach to prospective clients.
  • Identify potential customer needs and effectively communicate the features and benefits of our offerings.
  • Nurture leads and maintain a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Schedule appointments and demonstrations for the sales team by accurately capturing client information and coordinating availability.
  • Follow up with leads and prospects in a timely manner. 
  • Document all activities, interactions, and customer feedback in the CRM system. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to optimize lead generation strategies and campaign effectiveness. 

Must Have

  • Proven experience in inside sales or a similar role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and friendly phone demeanor. 
  • Ability to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner. 
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle rejection professionally. 
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools to manage leads and track performance. 
  • A positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to handle rejection professionally. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; additional certifications in sales or customer service is a plus. 

Nice to have

  • Certifications in sales or customer service that demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
  • Familiarity with IT industry terminology, products, and solutions. 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, CRM systems and Microsoft office. 
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines, (often) under pressure. 
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in lead generation and relationship building. 
  • Excellent verbal skills, founded in being a good listener.
  • Excellent project and time management skills. 
  • Extreme attention to detail and being highly organized.
